Draft — under legal review
This document is not final. It is an honest first draft written from what the product actually does, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet a binding legal instrument.
The agreement between you and SportZync. Plain English, and honest about the fact that this is Beta software.
Written in English. A Swedish translation is pending legal review. If the two versions ever disagree, the reviewed Swedish version will govern for users in Sweden.

These terms are between you and SportZync AB (org. nr 559513-3082), registered at Korrödsvägen 9, 269 38 Båstad, Sweden (“SportZync”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept these terms and the privacy policy.
SportZync is in Beta. That is not a disclaimer we are hiding — the current version number is displayed in the app, in the settings footer and on the sign-in screens.
What Beta means in practice:
You need an account to use SportZync. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your password secure, and not to share your account with someone else. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must set up and approve your account. If you are between 13 and 17, we recommend involving a parent or guardian — see the privacy policy for how parental access works.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including people you invite. When you invite a coach or a parent into a career, you are choosing to share the data that their role allows them to see. Check the What we collect and why page before you invite someone, so the sharing is not a surprise.
You agree not to:
If you find a security flaw, please report it to us rather than exploit it. We will not pursue people who investigate responsibly and tell us in good faith.
This is the most important paragraph on this page.
SportZync includes AI features, including the Zync coach, that suggest training, analyse your performance, and comment on your load and readiness. These are informational suggestions generated by software. They are not medical advice, not physiotherapy, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan.
SportZync records injuries and psychology check-ins, and the AI coach is told about your injury region, severity, and status so it can adapt around them. Adapting around an injury is not the same as treating one. Do not use SportZync to decide whether an injury is serious, whether it has healed, or whether it is safe to return to play.
For any injury, pain, illness, mental health concern, or question about whether you are fit to train or compete, consult a qualified doctor, physiotherapist, or other healthcare professional. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
AI output can also simply be wrong. It can misread your data, invent detail, or give confident advice that does not suit you. Use your own judgement, and your coach’s.
Your data stays yours. You keep all rights to the rounds, matches, workouts, notes, messages, videos, and documents you put into SportZync.
You give us permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to run the service for you — including sending relevant parts to the AI providers described in the privacy policy so the features you asked for can work, and showing it to the people in your career whose role permits it.
Some features are explicitly opt-in, such as contributing course data to a shared library. Those stay off unless you turn them on.
SportZync offers paid tiers alongside free access. Where a career has a paid subscription, one member is the payer and is responsible for the charges.
[TODO — Rasmus/lawyer: specify the tiers, prices, currency, VAT treatment, billing period, renewal terms, refund policy, and the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU]
Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your card details. We may change pricing, and if we do we will give you notice before it affects an existing subscription.
You can stop using SportZync at any time and delete your account from Settings. Because careers are shared, account deletion is refused while you are still an active member of a career or the athlete or payer on one — leave, transfer, or delete those careers first, or contact us for help. Deleting a career deletes the data inside it, and that cannot be undone.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we are legally required to act on, or that puts other users at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to retrieve your data.
We may also discontinue the service or parts of it. If we shut SportZync down, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to get your data out.
SportZync is provided as it is. During Beta in particular, we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or opportunity, or for injury or health outcomes arising from training decisions you make using SportZync. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
[TODO — Rasmus/lawyer: liability cap, its amount, and its interaction with Swedish and EU consumer protection law needs a lawyer’s review — a cap that is unenforceable against consumers is worse than none]
We will publish updated terms here with a new version number. For material changes we will notify you and ask you to accept the new version. We keep a record of which version you accepted and when. If you do not accept a new version, you can stop using SportZync and delete your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are subject to the Swedish courts. [TODO — Rasmus/lawyer: confirm venue and the effect of mandatory consumer rules, which generally let a consumer sue in their own country of residence]
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
